It is sad enough that people seek out and buy obvious bootlegs, but it is a real shame when people are duped into supporting bootlegs when they were actually trying to purchase legit items. The only reason this bootleg set is 49 single layer discs and not 24 double layers and 1 single layer extras disc (the 49th disc of this set which wasn't included in the season sets) is because they were trying to keep the same disc count so as to more easily pass the sets off as convincingly legit, at least long enough to get away with your money before you figure it out.

Well, bootlegs go for the least amount of discs even if they have to use double layer, which is why most anime series bootlegs are 3 double layer discs while official region1 releases that they're ripped from are usually 6 to 8 single or double layer discs for the same content. Often times they will obtain the real product, copy all the packaging as exactly as they can (probably explaining why they advertise a poster but don't include one) and then compress the video as tightly as they can and press it to the cheapest discs they can (which is why they'll be single layer if they're really bootlegs). The Chinese bootleggers will often go to great extents to make a convincing product.

Yep, I can pretty safely say it is a complete and total knockoff since you got it on the cheap from Marketplace. If you do your research on Amazon You will find user complaining about some STNG disks will not playback and some of the following comments like this:
